Application for the 2024-25 School Year

Dear Applicant,

Thank you so much for considering Ghidotti. Usually, Ghidotti is described as “a high school on a college campus.” That’s true, and our students do complete up to two years of college. But to me, that’s not why Ghidotti is special. Ghidotti is special because we’re a tight-knit community. We’re a group with diverse backgrounds and goals. We’re friends who look after each other. We are family. The teachers are proud of our school and eager to learn more about you through this application process.

As Ghidotti’s principal, I’m often asked what type of student we are looking for when reviewing applications. Ghidotti is looking for students who hope to go to college, are at grade level - meaning they are academically ready for 9th grade English and Algebra 1, and enjoy a small learning community. We especially encourage students to apply who would benefit most from free college in a supportive environment, such as students in low-income families and students whose parents did not graduate from college. Please note that students who live within Nevada County have first priority. 

Please review the "Steps to Applying" below. We gather as much information as we can so decisions are not based on just one factor. As the Ghidotti staff reviews applications, our goal is to include as many students as possible. If there are more qualified applicants than spaces available, selection will be made through a lottery.
